History
Prior to 1995, trained volunteers who staffed an emergency phone 24 hours a day and seven days a week handled emergency calls. Today, like most communities across the United States, Ontario County implemented '911' to report all emergencies. Ontario County's 911 Center will receive the call for help and take the emergency information and dispatch our ambulance crews. Our volunteers are stationed at the base so that when an emergency call is received the ambulance is on the way as soon as possible. Our station is staffed 24 hours each day and seven days a week. |
