What you can do
before we arrive
An ambulance takes minutes to reach you. What happens in those minutes usually comes down to whoever is already in the room.
Start compressions
Compressions are the part anyone can do. Our Family and Friends class covers them alongside AED use in ninety minutes, with no certification and no prerequisites, for parents, coaches, and co-workers.

Stop the bleeding
Pressure and a tourniquet are things a bystander can apply before a crew reaches the scene. Stop the Bleed is authorized by the American College of Surgeons, and you leave with a tourniquet of your own.

Reverse an overdose
Naloxone, often known as Narcan, can reverse an opioid overdose in minutes. First On The Scene teaches how to recognize one and how to respond, alongside hands-only CPR and bleeding control.

An AED speaks every step out loud, so the hard part is knowing where the nearest one is and being willing to reach for it. We have helped place more than thirty across Victor and Farmington.
Covered in every CPR and AED class
First on the Scene covers all four in one four-hour class, along with epinephrine, chest trauma, and how to move someone safely. Authorized by NAEMT and the IAFC.
Anyone can start CPR
Cardiac arrest survival drops with every minute that passes. Hands-only CPR is exactly what it sounds like: no breaths, no certification, no equipment. You push hard and fast in the center of the chest until a crew arrives.
Our Family and Friends class covers compressions and AED use in ninety minutes, with nothing to pass and no card at the end. It is built for parents, coaches, and co-workers.
Naloxone can save a life
Opioid overdoses can happen to anyone, and naloxone, often known as Narcan, can reverse one in minutes. Knowing how to recognize an overdose and respond before EMS arrives is a skill worth having in every home.
Our First on the Scene course teaches naloxone administration alongside hands-only CPR and bleeding control, and our team can point you to local resources for obtaining naloxone.

Equipment loans, blood pressure checks, car seat installation checks, and our EMS community internship, all free to Victor and Farmington residents.

More than 30 AEDs placed across the community, and a program that covers half the cost (up to $600) of putting one in your business.
